MASAT Election 2011/2012

Now this had happened a few months ago. Well, actually a month ago. But it worth stating it here, as there are some of us who might forget about this very important event.

The title says it all. MASAT election. Who would want to miss that. At least for the members who didn't have any better things to do other than games and more games. To record, there are roughly more than 100 members of MASAT attended this event. The hosts are two first year students, Edmond and Zakkeyyah, the two First Year Representative in MASAT Committee.

Tentatively, the event started with giving out some certificates to team representative for badminton and futsal tournaments (where the First-Year Futsal team didn't get). Then it follows by some explanation about the MASAT account by Asyraf (who represented Sarah as she couldn't make it). There are some rankings which if I am not mistaken:

• The biggest profit : Food sale (most food was grabbed by the MASAT member itself, making the objectives which is to promote Malaysian food, somewhat failed)
• The biggest loss : Hari Raya Aidilfitri event
• The biggest spend : Badminton tournament

Then, the pizza and some cola drinks is served. That is when the election begun. The nominee is elected from two weeks before that day (actually the number of nominee started to increase rapidly the night before - typical Malaysian).

Steps of the nomination,

1. Everyone nominate their nominee.
2. Nominee walked out the room (far enough so they couldn't hear anything within the room).
3. Everyone vote for their nominee and the frequency is counted.
4. Nominee walked back in.
5. Nominated.

Well, now the results. As there are numerous chairs, I'll only stated the new PRESIDENT of MASAT. And the nominees are

• Anas (who opt. out)
• Husaini (who declined)
• Anderson (who nominated himself)
• Elmo (who is very confident) and ...
• Sharazul (who surprised to be nominated).
